Will PRP Injection Help Russell Wilson's Ailing Shoulder?

Will PRP Injection Help Russell Wilson's Ailing Shoulder?

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson reportedly flew to Los Angeles for a PRP injection in his ailing shoulder one day after the 12-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

While the PRP injection could help his healing in the long-run, it will not promote immediate healing and he is likely to miss practice time this week and beyond.

Wilson is reportedly dealing with a partially torn lat near his right shoulder that he suffered in Week 4.

Upon initial video, the Pro Football Docs believed he suffered a posterior right shoulder sprain. The lat injury is a component of the shoulder sprain and will likely cause him to miss practice time. He had a SIC score of 87 going into last week’s game, during which he completed 21 of 39 passes for 274 yards and 2 interceptions.

In Week 4 against the Raiders, Wilson went 17 for 25 with 237 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Through five games, he’s averaging 250.8 yards per game with 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions with a career-low 59.4% completion percentage.

Broncos vs. Chargers Week 6 Odds

The Broncos head to Los Angeles to face the Chargers on Monday night and will do so without Garett Bolles and Ronald Darby.

Los Angeles is favored by 6 points and the over/under is 45.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
