The NFL’s fourth week of the 2025 season is shaping up with major injury news across the league, including updates on quarterbacks, key offensive weapons, and stars working their way back. Here’s the latest breakdown:
Jayden Daniels - Knee
Daniels returned to practice this week as a limited participant after missing Week 3 with a sprained knee. When asked if he’ll play Sunday, Daniels told reporters, “It’s up to the doctors”, though he added that he’s feeling good. Pro Football Doc believes Daniels is healthy enough to play, but has questions in regard to the team's cautious approach, "He’s physically able to play, but will the Commanders stay cautious? And will he agree to wear a knee brace to get on the field this week?" The Commanders officially declared Daniels OUT of Sunday's game. Marcus Mariota will once again start in his place.
Davante Adams - Hamstring
Rams WR Adams DNP on Thursday and was limited on Friday due to a sore hamstring. Rams are listing WR Davante Adams as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Colts due to his hamstring injury.
Brock Purdy - Toe/Shoulder
Purdy missed the last two games due to turf toe. Was an LP all last week and was designated as questionable for Week 3. 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan says QB Brock Purdy will make his return and start Sunday vs the Jaguars. Purdy has no injury designation for the game.
Ricky Pearsall - Knee / Jauan Jennings - Shoulder/Ankle
Pearsall told reporters that he was dealing with knee soreness and expects to practice this week and play on Sunday. On Thursday, Pearsall returned to practice. Jennings did not play in Week 3 and did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan said he was close to playing last week and will remain day-to-day this week. Both are listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars.
Xavier Worthy - Shoulder
Worthy has been out since the first drive of the Chiefs' Week 1 loss to the Chargers. Was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, signifying he will make his return to the field in Week 4. Chiefs Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy said, "He's doing really well, running around, and looks good out there." Worthy is off the injury report and expected to play Sunday against the Ravens
Baker Mayfield - Biceps
Mayfield was limited all week in practice with a right biceps injury. He is listed as questionable for Sunday, but head coach Todd Bowles said, "Baker should be OK for Sunday but limited today."
Chris Godwin - Ankle
Godwin didn’t practice on Thursday, after fully practicing on Wednesday. He’s been limited to two practice days per week since the season began while managing his recovery from a dislocated ankle suffered 11 months ago. On Friday, he returned to practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday.
Terry McLaurin - Quad
McLaurin is battling a quad injury that kept him out of practice this week. He sought multiple opinions on his injury, but according to reports, the injury will not require surgery. The Commanders also ruled McLaurin out for Week 4.
Justin Fields - Concussion
Fields was a full participant in practice this week, signifying he will clear concussion protocol and play in Week 4 after missing Week 3.
