Expected to make his NFL debut less than two months after surviving a gunshot to the chest, he logged a full practice on Thursday and has fully recovered

On Saturday, August 31st, Pearsall as a victim of an attempted robbery and sustained a bullet wound to his chest. He is in serious, but stable condition with no timetable for his return at the time of the team's official statement.

Upon his return from a hamstring injury, Persall reaggravated a shoulder injury he sustained during OTAs. He's been wearing blue ‘no contact’ jerseys in practice, but there has been no timeline for his return from this shoulder injury. With the expected trade of Brandon Aiyuk, there are lofty expectations for Pearsall.

The 49ers' first-round draft pick, Ricky Pearsall, is currently recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of minicamp. He was recently cleared off the NFI list and, after missing the first couple of days of training camp, is expected to be fully active barring any setbacks. Pearsall won't start over Deebo Samuel or Brandon Aiyuk, but he should see targets during the regular season and could potentially supplant Jauan Jennings as the number three receiver. He will also get work as a kick and punt returner in 2024.
