Denver Broncos Lose Ronald Darby, Garett Bolles for Season

A bad night got worse for Denver on Friday with the news that starting left tackle Garett Bolles and No. 2 cornerback Ronald Darby are done for the season.

Garett Bolles Injury Update

The 2017 first-round selection suffered a fractured right leg late in Thursday's loss to the Colts. He was carted off and left the stadium in a cast.

While initial optimism was that he could return after a six-week absence, he will reportedly undergo surgery and miss the remainder of the season.

Bolles played in 14 games for Denver last season and finished with a Pro Football Focus grade of 76.6.

He missed three games last season with a left high ankle sprain.

Calvin Anderson will likely fill in at left tackle with backup Tom Compton on the PUP list with a back injury.

Ronald Darby Injury Update

The eighth-year pro reportedly suffered a torn ACL in his left knee on an incompletion targeting Parris Campbell Thursday night.

By video, Darby's knee shifted when he planted it hard in the grass while tackling Campbell.

He limped to the bench and was eventually ruled out.

Second-year cornerback Pat Surtain II has taken over as the No. 1 cornerback, but Darby has been crucial in Denver's secondary since last season. He finishes the year with 3 passes defended, 1 forced fumble and 14 combined tackles.

Broncos vs. Chargers Week 6 Odds

Denver opens as 4.5 point underdogs against the Chargers in Los Angeles, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
