Pete Fairbanks - SIC score 31

Landed on the 15-day IL on Monday after leaving with a left hip injury. His hip reportedly “locked up” on him while warming up in the bullpen on Sunday, causing him to leave before he had a chance to pitch in the game.

He underwent an MRI and could miss extended time based on the results. The landing

Anthony Rizzo - SIC score 87

The Yankees’ first baseman jammed his head on Fernando Tatis Jr.’s hip as he attempted to tag him out on a pickoff at first. Rizzo sat on Monday, the day after he was injured, and is out of the lineup Tuesday as well, but is likely to return to the lineup this week.

Harrison Bader - SIC score 48

Bader has played 26 games since returning from his oblique strain, but suffered a hamstring strain while running out a single on Monday. The team labeled it hamstring tightness, but given the importance of speed and mobility when playing center field, Bader is likely to require a 10-day IL stint.

Cedric Mullins - SIC score 43

The Baltimore center fielder suffered a right groin strain while running to first on Sunday and will be placed on the 10-day IL. Depending on the grade of the strain, he could miss considerable time. The best case would be a Grade 1 strain, which could have him back in two to three weeks.

Baltimore is reportedly considering signing former Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks to fill the gap in center field until Mullins can return.

Manny Machado - SIC score 82

Padres captain Manny Machado has not played since suffering a hairline fracture at the base of his left hand on May 15. He took batting practice for the first time last Friday, but did not appear in the weekend series against the Yankees.

Machado is eligible to be activated off the 10-day IL when ready and that could come as early as Tuesday against the Marlins.

Cody Bellinger - SIC score 64

Bellinger resumed baseball activities on Monday, but will reportedly be out at least another two weeks. By video, the former Dodger suffered a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise while making a catch at the wall against the Astros on May 15.

Mike Tauchman will continue playing center field until the lefty is back.

Bellinger is hitting .271 with 7 home runs and 20 RBIs.

Aaron Boone on Harrison Bader, who is scheduled for an MRI on his right hamstring tomorrow: “They don’t seem to think it’s too serious, but you don’t want to rule out an IL [assignment]. We’ll see what we have tomorrow.”
