Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler is set to return to the mound on Monday. Buehler has not pitched in a game since June 10, 2022. Buehler underwent Tommy John surgery on Aug. 23, 2022. The surgery is Buehler’s second career Tommy John surgery.
Buehler attempted to return at the end of the 2023 season, but after 1 rehab start in September, the Dodgers shut him down and announced he would not come back until the 2024 season.
Buehler spent the past month on an extensive rehab assignment in Triple-A, gearing up for his comeback. During this period, he recorded a 0-2 record with a 4.15 ERA and notched 21 strikeouts across 21⅔ innings.
