Padres Injury Report: Fernando Tatis Jr. CT Scan Postponed

The Padres decided to push back Fernando Tatis Jr.'s next CT scan on his wrist to next week to get him closer to full health.
Fernando Tatis Jr. Injury Update
Tatis Jr. was expected to undergo another scan later this week and, if it showed sufficient improvement, would progress to swinging a bat.
The 23-year-old has yet to play this season while recovering from a March surgery to repair a fractured scaphoid in his left wrist.
The ProBaseballDocs have maintained that a return in mid-to-late June is the best-case scenario for Tatis and the Padres.
It appears, however, that Tatis Jr. will likely be back in the yellow and brown sometime in July, meaning he will only be a contributor for the second half of the season. He remains on the 60-day IL.
The team is hopeful that the upcoming scan will show enough healing that they can clear Tatis Jr. to swing a bat. He only began taking grounders since late April.
That they are pushing this test back signals their conservative approach, and it would be a surprise if he went from not being medically cleared to swing to playing for the Padres in two-to-three weeks.
