Warren is expected to miss about a week with the groin injury he suffered during Wednesday’s joint practice with the Falcons. There is currently no concern that the injury will keep him out of Week 1.

Cole Van Lanen, Jaguars - Knee

Van Lanen has been activated from the PUP list after passing his physical. He injured his knee in Week 18 and is now set to return to the field.

Newton suffered a pectoral injury during Washington's preseason game against Miami and is seeing a specialist in New York. Head coach Dan Quinn said the injury could be long-term.

Tyler Biadasz, Chargers - Knee

Biadasz is out indefinitely after suffering ACL damage and additional injuries to his knee during Tuesday’s joint practice against the 49ers. He will meet with additional doctors for more clarity. Based on the injury video, Pro Football Doc believes Biadasz also suffered an MCL injury and expects his season to be over before it starts.

Breece Hall, Jets - Groin

Hall suffered a groin strain after slipping during Monday's practice and was taken to the medical tent for evaluation. Head coach Aaron Glenn said he doesn't believe the injury is “a big deal.” Hall underwent follow-up evaluation that confirmed his groin injury is minor. The Jets plan to be cautious with his recovery, but he is expected to be sidelined for weeks, not months.

Emeka Egbuka, Buccaneers - Toe

Egbuka is considered “day-to-day, week-to-week” with the toe sprain he suffered during joint practices against the Jets last week. Head coach Todd Bowles said he is not sure at this time whether the injury will impact Egbuka’s Week 1 availability.

Puka Nacua, Rams - Lower Back

Nacua remains sidelined with soreness from the lower back injury he suffered during last Tuesday's joint practice against the Cowboys. Head coach Sean McVay said the Rams are taking his recovery day-to-day and do not want to rush him back. Nacua may not return to practice until next week.

Myles Garrett, Rams - Knee

Garrett did not practice while dealing with swelling in his knee and instead worked off to the side with a member of the Rams' training staff. Head coach Sean McVay said the team will wait to determine when Garrett can return to practice but indicated it will probably be next week.

Kyle Monangai, Bears - Right Knee

Monangai is expected to miss multiple weeks after hyperextending his right knee during Sunday's practice. An MRI confirmed the injury after he was forced to leave practice early.

Christian McCaffrey, 49ers - Tightness

McCaffrey remains sidelined nearly a week after initially missing practice due to what the 49ers described as “tightness.” Head coach Kyle Shanahan previously downplayed concern about the issue, but McCaffrey was again held out of practice Sunday. The team has not provided a more specific diagnosis or timetable for his return.

Tristan Wirfs, Buccaneers - Hamstring

Wirfs returned to practice in full pads Monday after being sidelined by a hamstring strain suffered during a conditioning test at the start of training camp. Head coach Todd Bowles expressed optimism about his recovery, while the Buccaneers continue to take a cautious approach to ensure Wirfs is fully healthy for the regular season.

Smith returned to practice Monday after missing the last couple of weeks with a hamstring injury. The Eagles listed him as a limited participant as he works his way back onto the field.

Jamal Adams, Vikings - Right Quad

Bell has been activated from the active/non-football injury list as he continues his recovery from the torn ACL he suffered in December. The Dolphins' third-round pick is now cleared to make his training camp practice debut after previously being limited to working with trainers.

Sunday, August 17th

Jeremiyah Love, Cardinals - High ankle sprain

Love is dealing with a high ankle sprain and is unlikely to play for the remainder of the preseason, while his Week 1 availability remains uncertain. The ankle initially appeared to be a minor issue, but Love woke up more sore than expected the following day. Pro Football Doc believes the injury is a mild high ankle sprain and remains hopeful for a Week 1 return, but his status is still TBD.

George Kittle, 49ers - Achilles

Kittle continues to recover from the torn Achilles he suffered in January and appears to be trending in the right direction. Week 1 has not been ruled out, with Kubiak reporting “relentless positivity” surrounding his recovery. Kittle believes he “has a chance” to play and said he has been running, reaching top speeds and working toward a return to padded practice.

Ozzy Trapilo, Bears - Patellar Tendon

Trapilo has been activated from the physically unable to perform list seven months after rupturing his patellar tendon during the postseason. The Bears left tackle is now eligible to practice during training camp after progressing far sooner than initially expected. Chicago had previously questioned whether Trapilo would be able to return at all during the 2026 season, but head coach Ben Johnson said he continued to hit his rehabilitation hurdles.

Marcus Mariota, Commanders - Right MCL

Mariota suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee during Friday's preseason opener against the Dolphins and will miss the remainder of the preseason. The injury occurred in the first quarter, but Mariota is expected to be ready for the regular-season opener.

Jamal Adams, Vikings - Right Knee

Adams will miss the entire 2026 season due to the right knee injury he suffered during Saturday's preseason game against the Giants. Head coach Kevin O'Connell had expressed significant concern following the injury, saying he was “crushed” for Adams and that the Vikings were “going to miss him.”

Kyle Monangai, Bears - Right Knee

Monangai exited Sunday's non-padded practice early after injuring his right knee in a tangle with defensive tackle Grady Jarrett. He was able to walk off under his own power, and initial tests reportedly showed the knee is structurally sound. Monangai is believed to be fine, though an MRI is planned for further evaluation.
