Vinnie Pasquantino, Royals - Right Wrist

Pasquantino has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to right wrist soreness after aggravating the injury during Tuesday night's game against the Twins. The wrist is the same one in which he suffered a broken hamate bone earlier this season, an injury that previously sidelined him for a month. The Royals will further evaluate the recurrence to determine the extent of the setback and establish a recovery timeline.

Byron Buxton, Twins - Right Hip

Buxton has been placed on the injured list with a right hip impingement after reaggravating the injury during Tuesday night's game against the Royals. The veteran outfielder had just returned on July 20 from a previous stint on the injured list for the same hip issue, which also forced him to miss the All-Star Game. Buxton exited in the fifth inning after experiencing renewed discomfort, prompting the Twins to shut him down once again.

Corey Seager, Rangers - Lower Back

Seager is expected to be activated from the injured list Friday after completing a successful rehab assignment. The Rangers shortstop has missed 52 games this season because of recurring lower back inflammation, most recently landing on the injured list after exiting a June 30 game against the Blue Jays. His injury-plagued season also included a three-week absence earlier in the year for the same back issue and another two-week stint on the injured list following a concussion in June.

Blake Snell, Dodgers - Left Elbow

Snell took another significant step in his recovery from left elbow surgery by striking out nine batters over four scoreless innings in a minor league rehab start for Low-A Ontario. The veteran left-hander threw 45 of his 60 pitches for strikes, allowing just one baserunner while overpowering opposing hitters. Snell underwent nanoscope surgery in mid-May to remove loose bodies from his elbow and has progressed steadily through his rehabilitation. The Dodgers have not announced a timetable for his return and are expected to take a cautious approach in hopes of having him fully healthy for the stretch run and postseason.

Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers - Left Knee/Right Biceps

Ohtani continues to deal with left knee irritation that has delayed his return to the Dodgers' pitching rotation. He was scratched from his scheduled start following the All-Star break and has not pitched in a game since July 3. Although Ohtani threw a 30-pitch bullpen session on July 22, a follow-up bullpen three days later was postponed as he continued to recover. Ohtani said the knee is "getting better," but also acknowledged that his right biceps remains an ongoing issue. He has not played catch in six days, and the Dodgers have not announced a timetable for his next bullpen session or return to the mound.

Curtis Mead, Red Sox - Left Wrist

Mead has been placed on the injured list after further testing revealed a fractured left wrist, an injury sustained when he was hit by a pitch during his Red Sox debut on Monday. Initial evaluation diagnosed the injury as a wrist contusion, but follow-up imaging confirmed the fracture. Mead will return to Boston to meet with a hand specialist, who will determine whether surgery is necessary and establish a recovery timeline.

Byron Buxton, Twins - Right Hip

Buxton exited Tuesday night's game against the Royals after reaggravating soreness in his right hip. The injury involves the same hip that forced him to miss the All-Star Game earlier this month and sidelined him for nine games before he returned from the injured list on July 20. The Twins removed Buxton in the fifth inning as a precaution, and his status moving forward will depend on further evaluation. The recurrence raises concern that he could require additional time away if the hip does not respond to treatment.

Harrison Bader, Giants - Left Foot

Bader's return from the injured list has been delayed after he aggravated his left foot in a scooter accident over the weekend. Bader has been sidelined since May 29 with left plantar fasciitis, but the Giants said the crash further damaged the foot and altered the course of his recovery. The Giants have not provided a timetable for Bader's return as he undergoes further evaluation.

Cody Bellinger, Yankees - Left Hamstring

Bellinger has been placed on the 10-day injured list after suffering a Grade 2 strain of his left hamstring. The injury occurred during Saturday night's game against the Phillies when Bellinger experienced tightness late in the contest. Yankees manager Aaron Boone expects the All-Star outfielder to miss four to six weeks as he recovers from the moderate hamstring strain.

Shea Langeliers, As - Right Knee

Shea Langeliers will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. The Athletics announced that the All-Star catcher will have the procedure Tuesday, ending his 2026 campaign.

Casey Schmitt, Giants - Left Knee

Schmitt exited Monday night's game against the Brewers after suffering a left knee injury while running the bases. The injury occurred as Schmitt rounded first base following a single to right field, with the third baseman immediately showing discomfort and grabbing at his lower left leg.

Curtis Mead, Red Sox - Left Wrist

Mead exited his Red Sox debut after being hit by a pitch on his left wrist during Monday night's win over the Athletics. The injury occurred in the fourth inning when an offering from Jack Perkins struck Mead on the wrist. Although he initially attempted to remain in the game, he was removed after being evaluated by the team's training staff. The Red Sox later diagnosed Mead with a left wrist contusion.

Monday, July 27th.

Juan Soto, Mets - Left Calf

Juan Soto has been placed on the 10-day injured list after an MRI revealed a Grade 2 strain of his left calf. The injury is expected to sideline Soto for a significant period, with the Mets anticipating he will miss more time than the approximately 2½ weeks he was out earlier this season with a strained right calf. Soto is expected to be unavailable for an extended stretch while the calf heals before beginning his return-to-play progression.

Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves - Left Hamstring

Acuña Jr. is expected to be activated from the injured list prior to Monday's game against the Mets after recovering from a left hamstring strain. The injury initially sidelined him on June 9, marking his second stint on the injured list this season with the same hamstring issue after missing 15 games in May.

Max Scherzer, Blue Jays - Back/Right Thumb

Max Scherzer is set to return from the injured list to start Monday against the Nationals after recovering from back spasms that sidelined him since mid-June. His rehabilitation was slowed by multiple setbacks, including persistent issues with his right thumb that required three cortisone injections. The veteran right-hander has been limited to five starts this season, posting a 1-4 record with a 10.23 ERA.
