As the 2025 MLB regular season hits the half-way mark and approaches the All-star break, several teams are grappling with injuries to key starting pitchers. These setbacks not only impact team performance but also have significant implications for fantasy baseball managers and bettors. Below is a list of notable starting pitchers currently on the 15-day and 60-day injured lists, check back for regular updates.
Hunter Dobbins (BOS) – Elbow strain; placed June 23; expected return early to mid-July.
Grayson Rodriguez (BAL) - Lat/Elbow - Progressing through rehabilitation and expected return in August 2025.
Kyle Bradish (BAL) – Elbow - Progressing through rehabilitation and expected return early August 2025.
Tyler Wells (BAL) – Elbow - Recovering from UCL surgery, earliest possible return would be August 2025.

Elbow - Recovering from Tommy John surgery, progressing with bullpen sessions and expected to return in late July or August 2025
Ben Lively (CLE) - Elbow - Underwent UCL reconstruction surgery in May ending his 2025 season.
Alex Cobb (DET) – Hip inflammation; on 60‑day IL; aiming for return mid-July 2025.
José Urquidy (DET) – Post–Tommy John (June 2024); expected back late 2025.
Jackson Jobe (DET) – UCL flexor strain; IL since June 11, 2025; requires TJ surgery—out for season.
Ronel Blanco (HOU) - Elbow - Underwent surgery on his elbow / forearm, not expected back until late 2026.
Cristian Javier (HOU) – Recovering from Tommy John surgery (elbow); IL since 2024; expected to return early August.
J.P. France (HOU) – Shoulder surgery (June 2024); 60‑day IL through All‑Star break, targeting mid-August return.
Pablo López (MIN) – Shoulder - suffered a Grade 2 teres major muscle strain in his throwing shoulder in early June, could return mid/late August.
Luis Gil (NYY) - Lat strain - Next live BP session scheduled between June 30-July 6.
Gerrit Cole (NYY) - Elbow - Underwent UCL reconstructive surgery on his right elbow including an internal brace, a 2026 return timeline will be available in Spring.
Tyler Mahle (TEX) - Shoulder - Diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain and will not return until August.
Hunter Greene (CIN) – Grade 1 groin strain and back soreness; placed on IL June 30; expected back mid‑July after All-star break.
Corbin Burnes (ARI) - Underwent Tommy John elbow surgery, ending his 2025 season and likely to miss a significant amount of next season.
Reynaldo Lopez (ATL) - Underwent arthroscopic shoulder surgery in April 2025, possibly could return late in the season.
Justin Steele (CHC) – UCL revision; IL early 2025; expected early 2026.
Aaron Nola (PHI) – Initially placed on IL for a right ankle sprain; he's now recovering from a stress reaction in his right rib cage, expected back mid to late July.
Blake Snell (LAD) – Left shoulder inflammation; IL since April; rehab underway; Dodgers manager Dave Roberts recently said that Snell is "probably not" close to facing hitters.
Tyler Glasnow (LAD) – Right shoulder inflammation; IL since April (transferred May 31); likely to need to more minor-league rehab appearances before being activated, likely around mid-July.
Roki Sasaki (LAD) – Shoulder impingement; placed on IL May 13; moved to 60‑day IL, indicated return in late July after the All‑Star break.
Gavin Stone (LAD) – Shoulder surgery (Oct 2024); Will miss the entire 2025 season and will return for the start of 2026 target.
Brandon Woodruff (MIL) – Shoulder surgery/ankle tendinitis; IL since March 2024; Woodruff is expected to make a start next weekend against Miami for his first appearance since Sept. 23, 2023.
Griffin Canning (NYM) Achilles rupture - Surgery June 27, will be out at least 9 months.
Sean Manaea (NYM) - oblique/elbow - Bullpen June 29; timetable pending cortisone shot results.
Joe Musgrove (SDP) – TJ surgery (Oct 2024); 2026 season return.
Yu Darvish (SDP) - Elbow - Progressing through rehab, could return in mid-July.
Michael King (SDP) - Right shoulder/long thoracic nerve injury - Slowly ramping up throwing after a month of rest, without a timetable for return.
