Max Scherzer Injury Update: Veteran SP to Start Game 3

Max Scherzer - SIC score 82

Slated to pitch in Game 3 of the World Series but unlikely to pitch more than 5 innings given the lack of time to build his arm back up - cut on his pitching thumb is not a concern for effectiveness - missed a month starting in mid-September with a teres major strain but started Games 3 and 7 of the ALCS – allowed 7 ERs in 6.2 innings against the Astros.
