Superstar New York Yankees outfielder Juan Soto is nursing a left forearm injury and missed the first game of the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The injury has been reported as inflammation, and we at sicscore.com agree with this assessment. Video analysis of Soto's most recent throws showed nothing traumatic or anything comparable to Bryce Harper's 2022 injury (torn UCL).
No IL stint is expected for Soto, who could return this weekend with a return coming sooner than later. While Soto's arm may still have lingering effects, these will likely impact him defensively—an area he is not particularly known for.
When Soto returns to the lineup, expect him to continue his hot start to the season. He currently has 17 home runs, 53 RBIs, and a .318 batting average.
