Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer left Game 3 in the seventh inning after appearing to suffer an oblique strain. The injury occurred when Springer fouled off a 95-mph fastball and immediately grabbed the right side of his body in visible pain.

According to Pro Football Doc, an oblique strain is “bad news” for a Major League hitter and typically not a quick recovery. Springer is expected to miss Game 4 and could remain sidelined beyond that. Springer was replaced by Ty France, who went 1 for 3 with 1 strikeout.
