Dodgers Injury Report: Chris Taylor Suffers Left Knee Bone Bruise

Dodgers' do-it-all utility man Chris Taylor left Monday's game after fouling a ball off of his left knee in the sixth inning.

Chris Taylor Injury Update

Taylor finished the at-bat and was replaced by Max Muncy, who moved to second base while Gavin Lux took Taylor's place in left field.

The 31-year-old underwent x-rays after the contest that came back negative and he is considered day-to-day.

Taylor said he is “hopeful” he will be available as a pinch-hitter tomorrow against the Pirates but that will likely depend on the level of pain and swelling that develops.

White Sox outfielder Eloy Jiménez was diagnosed with a bone bruise after fouling a ball off of his right ankle in early April and missed only one game.

Taylor is hitting .256 with one home run, six doubles, and 11 RBI in 86 at-bats this season for the 19-8 Dodgers.
