Braves' Adam Duvall To Undergo Season-Ending Wrist Surgery

Atlanta Braves outfielder Adam Duvall will undergo surgery on his left wrist, manager Brian Snitker told reporters Sunday.

The 33-year-old reportedly suffered a torn tendon sheath during Saturday's game and the surgery is likely to end his season.

Adam Duvall Injury Update

Duvall suffered the left wrist injury in the 1st inning of Saturday's game while attempting to run down a foul ball off the bat of Shohei Ohtani.

He remained in the game for one at bat, then was replaced by Guillermo Heredia in the top of the 3rd inning.

The team placed Duvall on the 10-day IL with a sprained left wrist Sunday morning. Mike Ford was recalled from Triple-A to fill his roster spot.

Duvall hit .213 with 12 home runs and 36 RBIs in 86 games this season. He's a free agent this offseason.

Marcell Ozuna and Guillermo Heredia will likely see increased at bats with Duvall on the shelf.
