Baltimore Ravens vs Buffalo Bills Week 4 Injury Report and Odds

Buffalo Bills, 2-1, SIC score 82.2

Starting cornerback Dane Jackson is listed as questionable but is hell-bent on playing only two weeks since his scary neck injury that reportedly didn’t cause structural damage.

Safety Jordan Poyer is also questionable with the foot injury that kept him out last week. Even if both play, they will likely be initially limited against the explosive Ravens' receivers.

Micah Hyde, Tre’Davious White, and Christian Benford are each out in the secondary that has a pass defense SIC score of 63, the second-lowest of the week.

Up front, defensive tackle Ed Oliver is questionable after missing the last two games with an ankle injury and backup Jordan Phillips is out, but the team’s depth on the line will help fill in.

Wide receiver Gabe Davis is playing but will be limited again by an ankle sprain, leaving more opportunities for other pass-catchers. Davis, Stefon Diggs, Isaiah McKenzie, and the rest of the passing offense will have a strong chance to be more efficient than in the 63-pass loss to the Dolphins in 100-degree humidity in Week 3.

Guard Ryan Bates cleared concussion protocol and will play while center Mitch Morse is questionable with an elbow injury.

Baltimore Ravens, 2-1, SIC score 72.4

The Ravens are slowly getting back long-absent starters at key positions but remain in possession of the lowest SIC score in the league.

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley is the next to return when he makes his season debut on Sunday after missing 28 of the last 29 games with a significant ankle injury and multiple surgeries. If he misses any snaps, backup tackle Ju’Wuan James is out for the season and swing lineman Patrick Mekari is doubtful.

Stanley joins J.K. Dobbins, who returned in Week 3 and rushed seven times for 23 yards in the 37-26 win over the Patriots.

Both players remain in a wait-and-see holding pattern as they work their way through a re-acclimation period, dropping Baltimore’s rushing offense SIC score down to 66.9, the lowest of the week.

Also in that boat is cornerback Marcus Peters, who has five tackles and one interceptions in 78% of the team’s defensive snaps in two games.

The Ravens come in with the lowest pass defense SIC score once again at 60.6, powered by the absence of cornerback Kyle Fuller and the growing cluster of missing outside linebackers that includes Tyus Bowser, David Ojabo, Vince Beigel, Steven Means – all with torn Achilles – and veteran Justin Houston.

Lamar Jackson has been virtually immune to any of the instability around him: the 2019 MVP has thrown for 749 yards and 10 touchdowns in under 30 attempts a game while rushing 26 times for 243 yards and another two scores.
