Aaron Judge Return Timeline: When Will Yankees Star Be Back From Toe Injury?

New York Yankees star Aaron Judge received a second PRP injection to his injured right foot, indicating that he will be out until after the All-Star break.

PRP injections typically take at least two weeks to take effect and Judge will undoubtedly require a ramp up period before returning from his right turf toe injury, according to our panel of doctors.

If the Yankees take the full two weeks to allow the PRP injection to take effect, the earliest Judge can ramp up at this point is at the start of July.

With the All-Star break set to take place July 10-13, that gives a tight window for Judge to return at full strength prior to mid-July. Dr. David Chao, Pro Football Doc, breaks it down below:

Since losing Judge after he made a running catch and collided with the outfield fence at Dodgers Stadium on June 3, the Yankees have gone 4-8 with a .195 team batting average without him.

The team has averaged 3.25 runs per game in that stretch after averaging 4.7 runs per game with Judge in the lineup.

Judge, the 2022 AL MVP,  is hitting .291 this season with 19 home runs and a 2.3 WAR in 49 games this season.

While Harrison Bader and Judge remain on IL, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Willie Calhoun will continue to see consistent playing time.
