Joey Bosa Health, Injury Updates & History

Bosa sat out of most of the preseason with a left hand/wrist injury that has since been reported as a broken hand that he’s had surgery on to repair the fracture, he’s been practicing with a club but likely won’t for much longer, this injury should have minimal effect on his productivity

Bosa returned to practice on August 22nd for the first time since he left a joint practice on August 4th with a hand/wrist injury. He was working on the sideline of practice with a trainer, but all indications with this update are that he will be ready for Week 1.

Bosa has dealt with significant groin issues in the past. In 2023, he missed Week 4 with hamstring and toe injuries and sustained a foot sprain in Week 10 that ended his season. In the nine games he did play, Bosa was productive, finishing with 6.5 sacks. Healthy to start training camp, The DE has dealt with significant groin issues in the past. Bosa has been mentioned in trade rumors involving San Francisco's wideout Brandon Aiyuk.

Placed on IR and likely done for the season with right foot injury - reportedly not a fracture but a significant foot sprain - returned to sidelines in a boot and on crutches - previous foot issues to other side
