There’s rising concern about Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson and a lingering shoulder issue as training camp nears, speculation has pointed toward a possible re-aggravation of his AC joint but that’s unlikely since aggravating the AC joint typically requires contact trauma which hasn’t occurred during offseason work, some minor wear and tear in the AC joint can’t be ruled out but the bigger worry may lie elsewhere, many are connecting the issue to his previous injury on the same shoulder but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the same injury, in fact if it were an AC joint problem that might be a preferable known manageable condition, instead more complex concerns like rotator cuff tendinitis labral damage or post-surgical scar tissue could be at play, until more details emerge the exact nature of Richardson’s injury remains unknown making his status for camp and preseason worth closely monitoring
