Aaron Jones Sr. INJURY INSIGHTS

PLAYER INSIGHTS

Nov 10, 2024

Likely dealing with rib cartilage injury after suffering direct hit, only chance to return would be with an injection

Oct 17, 2024

In London we felt this listed hip injury to Aaron Jones was also proximal to the hamstring, indeed today, the first day of reporting for the week he is listed with a hamstring injury, he was a DNP in Wednesday's practice, if he can log participation in practice on Thursday, that would highly increase his chances of playing against Detroit whose defensive line is reeling from the loss of Aidan Hutchinson with a broken leg

Oct 10, 2024

Head coach Kevin O'Connell said Tuesday that Jones "continues to be evaluated" and is considered week-to-week with the hip injury that knocked him out of Sunday's game, the Vikings have a Week 6 bye but Jones could still be at risk of missing Week 7

Oct 7, 2024

Exited Sunday’s loss in London with a hip injury in the first quarter, the Vikings are on a bye week for Week 6 and with the extra time there’s a good chance he’ll be available for Week 7

Oct 6, 2024

Left the Week 5 game late in the first quarter with a hip injury, by video a right proximal hamstring injury. With a Week 6 bye we expect he will be able to return in Week 7

Jul 30, 2024

Aaron Jones started the season with a hamstring injury in Week 1 that lingered for the first few games. He missed Weeks 2 and 3, returned in Week 4, but then missed Week 5. The hamstring continued to be an issue, though he didn’t miss any time between Weeks 7-11. During this period, he sustained a left MCL sprain that sidelined him for three weeks. Jones returned at 100% to finish out the season, averaging 4.5 yards per carry. He is expected to be the starting running back for the Vikings, but Minnesota may adopt a running back committee approach.

Jan 10, 2024

Limited in practice ahead of Wild Card round but will play without limitations against Cowboys - still needs rest from MCL sprain in late November but mostly maintenance at this point

Dec 15, 2023

LP all week and good chance to return in W15 - missed 3 weeks with MCL sprain but should be close to 100% this week against the Buccaneers

Dec 14, 2023

LP Wednesday and good chance to return in W15 - missed 3 weeks with MCL sprain but should be close to 100% this week against the Buccaneers

Dec 9, 2023

LP all week and listed as questionable for Monday against the Giants - has not played since left knee MCL sprain he suffered Nov. 20 - key to return will be whether he can plant and cut without pain - should get regular usage if active
