WNBA Injury Report: Key Player Updates Week 7 and Commissioner’s Cup Preview

Injuries are shaping the landscape of the 2025 WNBA season, with several star players battling setbacks that could impact both team performance and playoff outlook.

This WNBA injury update breaks down the latest injury updates.

Stay informed with our expert injury analysis and projected availability heading into this week’s games.

Caitlin Clark - Indiana Fever

Caitlin has missed two straight games with a strained left groin ahead of the Commissioner’s Cup Final on Tuesday vs the Minnesota Lynx. The Fever have not reported whether or not Caitlin will miss that game, however, she has been practicing with the team indicating there’s a chance she might play on Tuesday. A groin strain, even at it’s mildest is at best a 1-2 week injury timeline and Tuesday marks only 7 days since the injury.

Napheesa Collier - Minnesota Lynx

Has played two consecutive games after missing two games prior with a back injury. In her return she’s seen her normal rotation so the MVP-frontrunner for this season appears to be fully healthy ahead of The Commissioner’s Cup Final against the Indiana Fever.

Rae Burrell - Los Angeles Sparks

She was injured 40 seconds into the first game of the season. The undisclosed knee injury was given a 6-8 week timeline for her return, but at this point there have been no updates. However, she has been seen without crutches for a week. Her next chance to play will be Thursday against the Liberty.

Dijonai Carrington - Dallas Wings

Has missed four consecutive games with a rib injury. Last year’s Most Improved Player winner has been essential on defense for the Wings and they have been 2-2 in her absence.

Paige Bueckers - Dallas Wings

After dropping 27 points in a loss to Indiana on Friday, Bueckers will miss the second night of the club's back-to-back set due to a right knee issue. Her next chance to play will come Thursday against the Mercury. There are no indications that she sustained a serious injury at this time.
