Oregon Injury update: Will Bo Nix be available?

Bo Nix is having the best season of his career, throwing for the most yards and touchdowns than he ever has. Furthermore, he has the highest QBR (3rd in the nation) and completion percentage of his career. But, apparently suffered an injury to his knee in the fourth quarter of the team’s game against Washington.

As the medical trainers checked him in the medical tent, Nix sat out a drive. He did make it out for the team’s last drive. Nevertheless, his attempt at a comeback was stalled by the Washington defense.

His head coach Dan Lanning spoke about the injury at his weekly press conference.

“I’m not going to share any update with anyone,” Lanning said. “We came away dinged in that game. I will say that I feel a lot more positive today after hear some news on where things are at right now.”

Nix’s starting center, Alex Forsyth, went down as well and didn’t return to the game. Forsyth seemingly played through a shoulder injury in Saturday’s game, as the broadcast showed him grabbing his shoulder in agony. His coach didn’t give too much of an update on the injury.

“I’m feeling better about our health this week,” Lanning said.

Starting right guard Ryan Walk got rolled up on by tight end Moliki Matavo on the first possession of the ballgame. Walk was on the sideline afterward with a boot on his foot.

The injuries to two offensive linemen could put an injured Nix at a higher risk of re-injury.
