Browns vs Eagles Game Overview

This Sunday the Philadelphia Eagles (2-2) face off against the Cleveland Browns (1-4) in what promises to be an intriguing battle.

The Eagles, led by a dominant defense and explosive playmakers, look to build momentum after a mixed start and bye week.

Meanwhile, the Browns are desperate for a win to break their early-season struggles, dealing with a lengthy injury report that has hampered their consistency.

With the Eagles aiming to solidify their NFC East standing and the Browns fighting to stay relevant in the AFC North, this matchup will be critical for both squads.

As always, injuries will play a critical role in shaping the outcome of this game. In this article, we’ll break down the most impactful injuries and how they will affect the game.

Cleveland Browns - SIC Health Score 79.6

On offense for the Browns TE David Njoku came back from his ankle injury but suffered a knee injury and will have to monitor his practice reports.

The offensive line is the main concern with the right tackle, right guard and center all dealing with issues.

On defense new injuries have popped up with number one CB Denzel Ward nursing a hamstring issue and SS Grant Delpit dealing with a concussion, FS Juan Thornhill is already on IR meaning the secondary has become a problem, LB Jordan Hicks is dealing with an elbow injury that caused him to miss last week - both sides offense and defense are severely injured going into Week 6.

Cleveland Browns Key Injury Insights

Nick Chubb RB -

Returned to practice for the first time this season on his way back from a severe knee injury where he sustained injuries to his MCL and ACL, the move opens up a 21-day practice window in which the Browns can evaluate Chubb in practice before having to activate him from the reserve/PUP list.

David Njoku TE -

Was limited in practice on Thursday and is trending in the direction of playing with the ankle injury he's been managing, the Friday report will designate his official status for Sunday and will continue to be monitored

Jedrick Wills Jr. T

Jack Conklin T

Denzel Ward CB

Sustained a hamstring injury in the Week 5 game and exited early without returning, he is scheduled to have an MRI this week, if he is unable to play for the Browns, their pass defense would lose the league leader in pass breakups. Ward was a DNP on Thursday.

Philadelphia Eagles - SIC Health Score 93.4

The health of the Eagles has significantly improved after the Week 5 bye. They have become the healthiest team with AJ Brown (hamstring), DeVonta Smith (concussion) and Lane Johnson (concussion) coming back from their injuries leading to a +12 SIC Health Score improvement for their offense.
