The Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers open NFL Week 3 on Thursday Night Football with significant injuries affecting both teams.

Atlanta will get quarterback Michael Penix Jr. back for his first start since suffering a season-ending ACL tear in November 2025. Cooper Rush started the first two games while Penix completed his recovery and Tua Tagovailoa dealt with an oblique injury. Penix has practiced fully this week and will start Thursday night.

Green Bay enters the matchup dealing with multiple offensive-line injuries, including the season-ending loss of starting right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele, while Atlanta will be without cornerback A.J. Terrell after placing him on injured reserve with a groin injury.

Packers Offensive Line Injuries

Green Bay's biggest injury concern is along the offensive line.

Starting right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele suffered a complete tear of the right patellar tendon against the New York Jets and will miss the remainder of the season. He suffered a partial tear of the same tendon last season.

Starting left guard Aaron Banks has missed both practices with knee and toe injuries. Anthony Belton, who replaced Bako-Bewele against the Jets, was added to Tuesday's injury report with an elbow injury, while Donovan Jennings improved to limited participation with a hand injury.
