As we look towards Week 14 of the NFL season, several teams are struggling with key injuries that may impact upcoming games. At SICscore.com, we provide expert insights from Dr. David Chao, MD (@ProFootballDoc) and other top sports doctors to help fans and analysts understand the impact of these injuries on the player and team.
Unlikely to play this week after sustaining a concussion on a late hit on a slide where he exhibited posturing in his right arm and right leg, visually looks bad and added to the concern for Lawrence, this is his second documented concussion.
Listed as Doubtful for Sunday with a knee injury, he's missed some practice time that lowers his chances of being available for W14 against the Dolphins.
The breakout star for Tampa Bay was hurt on a kick return in W13 and sustained a hip injury, exited but did return to the game, he's been managing soreness from a contusion but we expect him to be a full go for Week 14.
His status is unclear as of Friday according to head coach Mike Macdonald, Walker has been dealing with an ankle/calf injury and he has missed every practice this week so his chances don't appear very high to play in W14.
Placed on IR Tuesday after Head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Monday that the PCL injury Christian McCaffrey sustained on SNF in Week 13 could be season ending, only because of how late in the season it happened, if they do not make the playoffs he is unlikely to return.
Placed on IR with a high ankle injury sustained in W13 in Buffalo, he will miss at least the next four games while Christian McCaffrey will also miss time with a PCL injury, this could severely hamper the 49ers chances of making the playoffs and that could determine the course of action for their return.
He's been out the last few weeks as predicted but this is the week he should be able to return in a healthy manner, he has been a full go at practice, the only caution is the Eagles are positioning for the playoffs, they might be cautious with usage for Devonta Smith with his hamstring playing against the Carolina Panthers, but from a medical perspective his hamstring is healthy enough to go.
Played through an AC joint sprain, has taken several shots the last few weeks and has played through a knee injury as well, but he has been practicing and we don't see anything significant that should prevent him from playing and being effective vs the Chiefs, expect a full go for McConkey this week.
Nabers was added to Thursday's injury report and will miss Friday's practice with a groin/hip flexor issue, it casts doubt on his availability for W14 since the designation Friday is a downgrade from Thursday.
Has practiced in back-to-back sessions while dealing with a couple of lingering injuries, this suggests that he has a decent chance to play this weekend vs the Raiders.
May have sustained a PCL injury, likely not season-ending because the Eagles are likely a playoff team and he should be back by then, similar PCL to McCaffrey but he has a lower usage than McCaffrey.
Listed as questionable with a knee injury for W14 against the Rams, he hasn't played since W10 though there's been a bye week in between both missed games so he has a chance to suit up this weekend.
Confirmed on Monday that Hill does have a torn ACL among other damage, ending his 2024 season.
