Tucker Kraft - ACL/MCL
"Whenever you get an ACL tear, you talk about the ACL as the injury, but not all ACLs are the same. He’s likely dealing with the ACL and MCL too. I don't know about the cartilage or the meniscus inside, but ACL is enough. That's the headliner, but there's more to it than that for Tucker Kraft. Surgery, end of this season, the whole deal. He will return next season, but maybe not for the start of the season. PUP — a lot to decipher. Not all ACLs are the same."
AJ Brown - Hamstring
"He could have played through with a hamstring — he has before. And with the bye and the time and the vet guy and the rest and the big Packers game, the whole deal, I do think he's got a reasonable chance. I know we always say there's no such thing as a one-week hamstring. A, his is mild. B, it's more than one week because missing the game and missing the bye and before the game — it's really three weeks of time, right? So don't be surprised to see him limited, but I do think A.J. Brown will be there."
Puka Nacua - Ribs
"We mentioned yesterday that he fell on the ball and another player landed on top of him. The ball was over the center of his chest, his sternum. I think it's good news that it's not a sternal contusion. I didn’t think it would be, because the ball — even though it can hurt — is soft. This is rib/rib cartilage. I still think Puka plays through it. I think he could have gone back into that last game if it weren't for the score. He was back on the sidelines and I think he would have returned. I'm not worried about him — and no, do not say he's injury prone. You know I don't like that."
Aaron Jones - Shoulder
"Well, positive in the sense that it’s an AC joint. And look, Aaron Jones is the type of player who’ll say, “Let me roll.” It’s not his legs. Because it’s not a lower-body injury and practices are non-contact, I think you'll see him at least limited in practice, if not full. I don’t expect DNPs, and yes, he can get it shot up to play — safely. The reason it’s safe to inject that joint is because it’s not a weight-bearing joint."
Jayden Daniels - Elbow
"It looked horrific, grotesque, gruesome, but it was going to be better than it appeared — and that’s how it's playing out. X-rays were negative, MRI pending.
There’s chatter now, and we said this wasn’t career-ending or career-threatening. There’s even a possibility it’s not season-ending, and that's where we’re at. I don’t think it’s season-ending. MRI pending — it will show torn ligaments, guaranteed. I don’t know how the Commanders, or his agent, or others are going to word it, but it will absolutely show torn ligaments, including a torn ulnar collateral ligament — the “Tommy John” ligament.
Relax, though — Jayden Daniels will not need surgery. Why? He doesn’t throw with his left arm. Many players have torn UCLs and dislocated elbows. Khalil Mack did it this season — dislocated his elbow and came back in four or five weeks, no more than six. It heals, just not as tightly."
