American League
Baltimore Orioles
Ryan Mountcastle (Hamstring strain): Likely to return Aug. 4-6 vs. Phillies.
Grayson Rodriguez (Elbow inflammation): Will undergo right elbow debridement surgery next week; will not return in 2025.
Cade Povich (Hip inflammation): Scheduled to start Aug. 4 vs. Phillies.
Boston Red Sox
Marcelo Mayer (Wrist sprain): Received injection; status update expected by Aug. 5; could miss rest of season.
Tanner Houck: Undergoing Tommy John surgery; out for the season.
Liam Hendriks (Hip inflammation): Unlikely to pitch again this season.
Chicago White Sox
Miguel Vargas (Oblique strain): Placed on IL Aug. 3.
Chase Meidroth: Out since July 30 after HBP; X-rays negative, remains sidelined.
Houston Astros
Yordan Alvarez (Hand fracture): Increasing swing volume in rehab.
Luis Garcia (Tommy John surgery): Completed fifth rehab outing; progressing.
Spencer Arrighetti (Thumb fracture): Likely returning Aug. 6 vs. Marlins.
Isaac Paredes (right hamstring strain): Received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right hamstring, attempting to return from the 10-day injured list this season. Has opted to forgo season-ending surgery on his strained right hamstring and instead will rehab the injury in an effort to return this season.
Minnesota Twins
Byron Buxton (Rib cartilage irritation): Progressing, aiming for Aug. 6 activation.
New York Yankees
Aaron Judge (Elbow flexor strain): Return Aug. 5 as DH, could return to the outfield over the coming week.
Jonathan Loáisiga (Back tightness): Placed on 15-day IL Aug. 3.
Mark Leiter Jr. (Fibular head stress fracture): Possible activation Aug. 4-6; rehab ongoing.
Seattle Mariners
Josh Naylor (left shoulder) Exited the August 7 game with left shoulder soreness after two at-bats where he showed discomfort.
Bryce Miller (Elbow bone spur): Rehab start successful Aug. 1; threw four scoreless innings at Triple-A.
Tampa Bay Rays
Jonathan Aranda (Fractured wrist): Placed on 10-day IL Aug. 1; aims to return in 2025.
Texas Rangers
Evan Carter (Back spasms): Placed on IL Aug. 2.
Josh Jung (Calf soreness): Missed fourth consecutive game on Aug. 3.
Toronto Blue Jays
Shane Bieber: Made successful rehab start Aug. 9 with 78 pitches, may need one more rehab start before joining the Blue Jays rotation.
George Springer (Concussion): On 7-day IL since July 29; progressing towards return.
Alejandro Kirk (Concussion): Possible activation Aug. 3.
National League
Atlanta Braves
Austin Riley (Lower abdominal strain): Placed on 10-day IL.
Chris Sale (Ribs): Rehabbing from a left ribcage fracture, will need a rehab assignment that is scheduled for Aug. 12.
Chicago Cubs
Jameson Taillon (Calf strain): Began rehab assignment Aug. 3.
Javier Assad (Oblique strain): Next rehab start Aug. 6.
Michael Soroka (Shoulder): Soroka exited his debut early with right shoulder discomfort and will be placed on the IL, the team announced Monday.
Cincinnati Reds
Hunter Greene (Groin strain): Completed his fourth rehab outing on Aug 8 with 79 pitches. Close to a return for the Reds.
Nick Lodolo (Blister): Lodolo placed on the IL after exiting Monday’s 3-2 win over the Cubs with a blister on his left index finger.
Colorado Rockies
Antonio Senzatela (Finger blister): Placed on IL Aug. 2.
Los Angeles Dodgers
Roki Sasaki (Shoulder impingement): Faced hitters in simulated innings on Aug. 2, then felt good after a bullpen session on Aug. 5, he is scheduled to throw three simulated innings Aug. 8 then plans to progress to a rehab assignment.
Kirby Yates (Lower back pain): On IL retroactive to July 29.
Max Muncy (Knee bone bruise): Activated off the injured list and returned to the lineup after a month on the IL with a knee bone bruise.
Tommy Edman (ankle): Placed on the 10-day IL after exiting the August 3 game with a right ankle sprain he tweaked for the second time in a week.
Milwaukee Brewers
Jacob Misiorowski (Tibia contusion): Placed on 15-day IL Aug. 3.
Jackson Chourio (Hamstring strain): Out at least one month since Aug. 1.
Sal Frelick (Knee soreness): Precautionary removal Aug. 2; status day-to-day.
Philadelphia Phillies
Alec Bohm (Rib fracture): Participated in fielding drills Aug. 3.
Aaron Nola (Ankle sprain/rib fracture): Progressing through rehab assignment, next scheduled for Aug. 12 then could be activated.
San Diego Padres
Michael King (Shoulder/thoracic nerve injury): Rehab outing Aug. 3 for 61 pitches in his first game since May 18; scheduled to return to start for the Padres on August 9 against the Red Sox.
San Francisco Giants
Wilmer Flores (Hamstring tightness): Day-to-day since Aug. 1; IL stint unlikely.
St. Louis Cardinals
Nolan Arenado (Shoulder strain): Placed on 10-day IL Aug. 1.
