San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle was carted off the field after suffering a lower-body injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s game and did not return.

Based on video review, Pro Football Doc expressed concern that Kittle may have suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon. If confirmed, the injury would end Kittle’s season and is expected to sideline him for the start of the 2026 campaign as well, given the typical recovery timeline for the injury.

Kittle’s 2025 season was already impacted by injuries. He missed six games earlier in the year with a hamstring injury and also sat out one game due to a low ankle sprain. A long-term absence would represent a significant loss for the San Francisco 49ers offense moving forward.
