Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner suffered a left ankle injury early in the third quarter and was deemed questionable to return.
By video, Conner appeared to suffer a mild inversion, basketball type, ankle sprain while attempting to run a route, according to the Pro Football Docs.
Conner limped off the field and has not returned.
He was seen testing out his ankle after having it taped, but remains out.
The Cardinals play the Rams at home in Week 3. He should have a reasonable chance to play, given that his ankle sprain appeared minor.
Conner had 7 rushes for 25 yards and 2 catches for 26 yards before exiting.
