Leonard had back surgery in June 2022 due to nerve issues in his back and was not ready to play until Week 4 where he suffered a concussion and broken nose. He returned Week 8 but still felt issues with his back causing him to get another surgery on his back and ending his 2022 season. The Colts are hopeful he can return strong in 2023 but he has a lot of work to do in order to get back to that level.
