Hendon Hooker is expected to be the Lions' #2 quarterback. He spent his rookie year on the bench and did not enter any games. Although he suffered an ACL tear in his final year of college, there is no indication that this will be an issue in 2024.

Hendon Hooker was drafted by the Lions in the early third round, which is a favorable landing spot where he is unlikely to be rushed back. Hooker is currently recovering from an ACL tear suffered on Nov. 19 and will not be ready for the start of the NFL season. He is expected to begin the year on the Non-Football Injury list to free up a roster spot while he recovers.
