Will Tyreek Hill Be Able to Play Effectively Through Quad Injury?

The league’s leading wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, popped up on the injury report with a quad injury Thursday and was limited on Friday as well.

Hill is questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Jets and is unlikely to play effectively if he suits up, according to the Pro Football Docs.

The quad muscle is key for acceleration, something Hill relies on heavily to get open downfield.

Colts wideout Michael Pittman Jr. had a similar injury pop up on a Thursday prior to a Week 3 matchup against the Chiefs.

Pittman missed the contest, but returned with limited effectiveness in Week 4.

Depending on the severity of Hill’s injury, it could lead to a multi-week absence because of how much he relies on speed in his game.

Fellow Dolphins wideout is also questionable with a soft-tissue injury, but played through the ailment last week. He missed practice with his groin injury on Wednesday, but logged limited practices on Thursday and Friday.

If Hill is inactive, look for Waddle and Cedric Wilson to see increased targets.

Dolphins vs. Jets Week 5 Odds

Miami is favored by 3 points on the road in New York and the over/under is 45.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
