Will Jaguars' QB Trevor Lawrence Play vs. Browns?

Trevor Lawerence - SIC score 78

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is listed as questionable with his right ankle sprain and will reportedly be a “game-time” decision for Sunday's game against the Browns.

By video, our panel of docs assert Lawrence suffered a right inversion ankle sprain, NOT a high-ankle sprain. That is why he has a chance to play six days after the injury.

If he did have a high-ankle sprain, he likely would not have been able to practice this week.

He went DNP, LP, LP in practice and was moving around well during Friday's practice.

It will be up to Doug Pederson whether to start the third-year quarterback, who has never missed a game due to injury, or go with veteran backup C.J. Beathard.

Lawrence Playing through Injury

In Friday's news conference, Pederson highlighted the fact that Lawrence has played effectively through injuries in the past.

The former Clemson quarterback has worn a brace on his lead leg since he tweaked on while getting tackled in mid-October.

Last season, Lawrence injured his toe in the first half against the Lions but returned for the second half and did not miss time the rest of the season.
