Why Daniel Jones Is Telling the Truth About His Neck Surgery

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones told reporters Thursday that he had a non-football related surgery this offseason.

The picture of the scar below his Adam's apple does look concerning to any Giants fan,
but the Pro Football Docs agree that the surgery was non-football related.

The scar in the middle of his neck proves that this was most likely a procedure to the thyroid or parathyroid, based on the incision. If he had surgery to fix a disk issue in his neck, that incision would have been on the left side of his neck, not the middle.

This surgery is not related to his previous neck strain either that caused
him to be shut down for the season last year and put on IR.

In mid-June, the Pro Football Docs detailed why there are no lingering concerns about Jones' neck. That remains true and his season SIC score is still 93.

In 11 games last season, the 25 year old finished with 2,428 yards, 10 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He also added 298 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
