When Will Jonathan Taylor Return from Thumb Surgery?

Jonathan Taylor - SIC score 31

By video, likely a UCL injury on his left thumb - should be back by Week 15 (in time for fantasy playoffs) - team is hopeful he misses just 2-3 weeks which is consistent with a thumb ligament tear - finished game in W12 with 91 yards and 2 TDs.

His return timeline will depend on how quickly he can put a brace on and get his full grip strength back to avoid ball security issues.

Taylor will also have to pass protect when playing and that will be another hurdle for his return.

The 24-year-old running back missed the first 4 games of the season on IR during his contract dispute with the team. His Jan. 25 ankle surgery was the technical reason he landed on IR but he would have likely held out until he received a new contract.

One day before his season debut, Taylor signed a three-year, $42 million extension with $26.5 million guaranteed.
