The USC Trojans have already raced out of being only one spot out of the college football playoffs. In their head coaches’ first year with the squad. The team got it’s first ranked win versus UCLA last Saturday and will face another test against Notre Dame this Saturday. If the team wants to contend for a CFB playoff spot, USC will need to win out.
Oregon transfer running back Travis Dye is out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. The severe injury occurred in the team’s game versus Colorado. Dye is still USC’s leading rusher after missing the team's last game.
Wide Receiver Jordan Addison and Mario Williams have both returned from injury. Addison broke out last week against UCLA with a 178-yard performance. He looked healthy for the first time in three weeks, while Williams seemed to be on a pitch count. He only accounted for one catch for 15 yards.
Linebacker Eric Gentry suffered an ankle injury against UCLA that caused him to miss the remainder of the game. But head coach Lincoln Riley expects him to play this week.
USC is favored by 5.5 points at home against Notre Dame, and the over/under is 64.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
