By video, not an injury mechanism for paralysis - taken off on a spine board but only for precautionary reasons - appeared to display obvious signs of concussion (posturing with his arms locked) and will enter concussion protocol - may stay overnight in a Pittsburgh hospital for evaluation and an MRI
The Pro Football Docs are not expecting a long-term absence although concussion recoveries are unpredictable. He did have movement in his extremities and gave a thumbs up as he exited the field.
Burks had a concussion last December and missed 2 games. He missed 3 games this season with a knee injury before returning in Week 8.
He had 2 catches for 23 yards before the injury Thursday night.
