The Oklahoma City Thunder head to San Antonio with a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference Finals, but could again be without two key players. The Thunder have already ruled out Ajay Mitchell and have listed Jalen Williams as questionable for Game 6.
Thunder Injury Updates
Jalen Williams aggravated the same left hamstring injury that previously sidelined him for six games earlier in the playoffs. Williams missed the last three games of the Western Conference Finals after initially being listed as questionable for both contests, and he is again listed as questionable for Game 6.
Hamstring injuries can be particularly difficult to manage during the postseason because explosive movement and heavy workloads increase the risk of aggravation. Williams’ availability moving forward remains uncertain as Oklahoma City attempts to regain momentum in the series.
Ajay Mitchell has also been dealing with right calf tightness and has now officially been diagnosed with a right calf strain. The Oklahoma City Thunder ruled Mitchell out for Game 6 after he missed Game 5.
Calf strains can significantly affect lateral quickness and burst, particularly for guards who rely on acceleration and defensive movement. Even mild strains often worsen if players return before fully recovering.
