We don't believe Jalen Hurts is 100% for the Super Bowl, we said he could be effective but he still is not his dynamic self, in the NFC Championship game his runs weren't as dynamic, his cutting is not as dynamic, there is still worry for a meniscus tear on Jalen Hurts, he won't miss the Super Bowl, he can be effective, he can throw the ball and he clearly can run straight ahead, whether he can he squat twist and have a lot of wiggle, remains to be seen.
There could be concern for Saquon Barkley ahead of the Super Bowl, clearly he had a great NFC Championship, 2 touchdowns on 2 carries the big long run right off the bat, but afterwards he was seen with the massage gun on his calf, distal calf proximal Achilles, we don't have worry for Achilles tendon rupture but the calf is an issue that may indeed linger, he was on the sidelines on the exercise bike, Kenneth Gainwell received some carries the rest of the game and a mixture of running backs, the blowout score helped give Barkley some rest, the 2 weeks before the Super Bowl will have Saquon Barkley near 100%
Kenneth Gainwell sustained a concussion in the Conference Championship game against the Commanders, with the extended time before Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans it is expected he will clear the concussion protocol and play
DeVonta Smith is currently working through a hamstring injury and was a non-participant in practice on Thursday, he will have four more chances to practice before the game on Sunday February 9th, in three playoff games he's tallied four catches in each game and has been an important part of the Eagle's passing attack.
Dallas Goedert has followed a practice pattern of missing the first two days and then logging a full season at the end of the week before being available for game-time, expect the same from him in the leadup to the game on February 9th, the veteran tight end has been managing an ankle injury but ut hasn't inhibited his production so far in this years postseason.
The Eagles have opened up the practice window for C.J. Uzomah ahead of the Super Bowl, he had been placed on IR with an abdomen injury sustained during W17, he'll have an opportunity to practice and if activated before the Super Bowl will be eligible to return
Cam Jurgens has been a non-participant in practice this week, but that has been expected, the Eagles are thin at o-line in the prep ahead of the game on February 9th, he has been managing a back injury that saw him sidelined at the start of the NFC Championship, but he started and played the second half when Landon Dickerson went down wth a knee injury, he may not be 100% by game time but will be needed if Dickerson is unavailable, which could happen.
Landon Dickerson is the biggest Eagles injury concern going into the Super Bowl, he's had ACL tears on both knees, his left knee was clearly hampered during the game, he started limping around in the 2nd quarter, exited and returned with a brace, severely favoring the left knee, upon his return, he gets beat easily with A-gap blitzes, even gets called for holding a key holding call when he had no lateral movement, worry for possible ACL/Meniscus tear, we lean towards him being unavailable for the Super Bowl, which will be a big loss for the Eagles, so far he's DNP in practices this week and this is the biggest concern for the Eagles going forward
The Eagles have opened up the practice window for Brandon Graham ahead of the Super Bowl, he had been placed on IR with a triceps injury, sustained during W12, it was believed he might miss the season, but with practice activity, there's a chance he returns, but may be ineffective however, we lean towards him missing the game.
