NBA stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander & Steph Curry will miss this weekend's NBA All-Star Game due to injury.
The Oklahoma City Thunder said Gilgeous-Alexander who is dealing with an abdominal strain, will be reevaluated following the break. Oklahoma City’s first game after the All-Star pause is Feb. 20 against the Brooklyn Nets.
Meanwhile, Stephen Curry will miss this weekend’s All-Star Game due to a lingering right knee issue. Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr announced the decision before Monday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Curry has now missed four consecutive games with patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly known as runner’s knee, and will also sit out Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs. The Warriors said they are hopeful Curry will return after the All-Star break, beginning Feb. 19 at home against the Boston Celtics.
Houston’s Alperen Şengün will replace Gilgeous-Alexander, but the NBA hasn't announced who will replace Curry on Team USA.
