Broderick Jones - Spinal Fusion Surgery
Jones underwent spinal fusion surgery this offseason and has not yet been cleared for team drills as he continues his recovery. He recently said no timetable has been established for his return.
The Pittsburgh Steelers added first-round offensive lineman Max Iheanachor this offseason and declined Jones’ fifth-year option, creating additional questions about Jones’ long-term role with the organization.
Darnell Washington - Broken Forearm
Washington suffered a fractured forearm in Week 17 that required surgery and forced him to miss the remainder of the season, including Pittsburgh’s playoff game.
He has since returned for OTAs and reportedly appears bigger and healthier entering the 2026 season.
DeShon Elliott - Hamstring Tear
Elliott suffered a significant hamstring injury in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers when his knee hyperextended, tearing the hamstring off the bone. His knee remained structurally intact, but the injury required surgery to reattach the hamstring.
Elliott recently said his recovery is progressing well and that he hopes to be available for training camp.
