Ryan Tannehill Injury: Titans QB Exits With Ankle Sprain, Returns

Update: Tannehill returned to the game but handed off the ball a majority of the time. He left the locker room in a walking boot, but has a chance to start next week.

Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill left his franchise-record 49th consecutive start with an apparent right ankle injury.

By video, Tannehill was rolled up on by a defender after completing a throw and appeared to suffer a right knee MCL sprain/high-ankle sprain, according to the Pro Football Docs.

Despite the injury, Tannehill has a slight chance to return to the game.

Rookie quarterback Malik Willis has entered the game for him. Tannehill was 12 for 18 for 113 yards before exiting.

Tennessee faces the Texans in Houston in Week 8.
