Cowboys' WR James Washington Suffers Foot Injury

Update: Unfortunately a Jones fracture has been confirmed for James Washington. He will likely be placed on IR and miss at least 10 weeks, as our Pro Football Docs detailed here.

Cowboys receiver James Washington was carted off the practice field with a leg injury and the team is reportedly concerned he suffered a Jones fracture in his foot.

By limited video, our panel of Pro Football Docs believe the receiver may have instead sustained a turf toe injury.

Cornerback Trevon Diggs fell on the receiver's right foot as he tried to make a play in coverage.

A Jones fracture usually involves the pinky-toe side of the foot whereas a turf toe typically afflicts the big toe.

Dallas signed the former Pittsburgh receiver in the offseason after dealing Amari Cooper to the Browns and losing Cedrick Wilson to the Dolphins. In 15 games last season for the Steelers, Washington tallied 24 receptions for 285 yards and 2 touchdowns.
