Giannis Antetokounmpo has no return date as the Milwaukee Bucks forward recovers from a calf strain suffered Friday in Denver. Bucks coach Doc Rivers confirmed the diagnosis Monday but declined to speculate on a timetable for Antetokounmpo’s return.
“There’s really no timetable,” Rivers said.
The injury is the latest setback involving Antetokounmpo’s right calf. He previously missed eight games from Dec. 5–26 with a calf strain, an issue that had been projected at the time to sideline him for four to six weeks.
Milwaukee will continue to monitor Antetokounmpo’s recovery as it manages his workload and evaluates next steps, with the team offering no indication of when its star forward might be cleared to return to game action.
The Bucks (18-26) have lost five of their past six games and are 11th in the Eastern Conference standings.
