Bills vs. Jets Monday Night Football Game Overview

In a pivotal AFC East showdown, the Buffalo Bills take on the New York Jets on Monday Night Football in Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season.

Both teams are desperate for a win, with the Bills coming off two straight losses and the Jets also stumbling with a 2-3 record.

The stakes couldn't be higher as this matchup could shift the momentum of both franchises. The Bills’ high-powered offense faces off against the Jets' tenacious defense, promising a thrilling contest.

With divisional supremacy on the line, injuries and key matchups will play a significant role, as both teams fight for the valuable division win. Listed below are key injury insights for each team.

Buffalo Bills - SIC Health Score 81.7

Two injuries to watch out on offense for the Bills is WR Khalil Shakir who missed last week and was an LP on Saturday due to an ankle injury. RB James Cook was an LP on Saturday with foot and toe issues and is questionable.

On defense the main health issues are Taron Johnson and Ed Oliver. Oliver missed the last game due to hamstring injury and he’ll miss another week. Johnson does have a chance to return after missing multiple weeks with the forearm fracture. The LB core still misses Matt Milano but is healthier with the return of Terell Bernard.

New York Jets - SIC Health Score 88.3

On offense RT Morgan Moses will return this week from a knee injury. QB Aaron Rodgers is playing through a sore knee and ankle.

On defense LB CJ Mosley has missed multiple games with a toe injury and there’s a chance he can return this week. Nickle CB Michael Carter II will miss this week after suffering a hamstring injury in warm-ups last week.
