The third-year Dolphins’ wideout is dealing with a “midsection injury” he picked up in camp last week. Head coach Mike McDaniels told reporters the team is not concerned with the injury and Waddle has done plenty to get himself prepared for the season as far as practice reps. Fantasy owners should not be concerned if he doesn’t participate much the rest of camp.
White caused a scare during preseason Week 1 when he went down without contact with an apparent knee injury. However, he was back at practice on Monday and running through drills, a good sign for his availability going forward.
Seattle’s projected starting running back returned to practice on Saturday after a brief absence with a groin injury. Zach Charbonnet played in the team’s preseason Week 1 matchup and was heavily involved despite a reported shoulder injury a week prior.
Both running backs should be available for Week 1 barring a setback.
Adams left Friday’s joint practice with the 49ers with a lower right leg injury. He pointed to his calf while walking off the field with a trainer, suggesting a possible calf strain.
His injury is difficult to analyze without video or further details, but head coach Josh McDaniels said the injury did not appear “crazy serious.”
Reserve Eagles linebacker Shaun Bradley suffered an Achilles injury during preseason Week 1 and will miss the regular season. Philadelphia recently signed veteran Myles Jack and he will serve as Nakobe Dean’s backup at middle linebacker.
Moore, the former Jets second round draft pick, exited the team’s preseason Week 1 matchup after taking a hard hit to the midsection. His X-rays came back negative for a rib fracture, but he may have damaged rib cartilage that will be painful for several weeks. He is likely done taking contact at training camp, but it doesn’t rule him out for Week 1 yet.
The 2020 third-round draft pick will miss the season after suffering a torn pectoral in Friday’s exhibition against the Commanders.
Phillips ended last year on injured reserve with a pectoral muscle injury on the opposite side, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
He was battling for a roster spot behind Anthony Walker and Sione Takitaki at inside linebacker. Both Walker and Takitaki are returning from knee injuries that knocked them out of last season.
TCU’s leading rusher last season suffered a knee sprain during preseason Week 1. He was recovering from an MCL sprain/possible meniscus injury to the same knee that he suffered late in his college career.
With a crowded running back room in front of him – and rumors of Kareem Hunt joining the team – New Orleans is likely to play it cautious with Miller the rest of the preseason.
