The highly anticipated AFC Divisional Round matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills is set to kick off on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
Season Overview
The Buffalo Bills concluded the regular season with a 13-4 record, securing the No. 2 seed in the AFC. They maintained an undefeated home record and recently dominated the Denver Broncos with a 31-7 victory in the Wild Card round.
The Baltimore Ravens finished with a 12-5 record, earning the No. 3 seed. They advanced to the Divisional Round after a convincing 28-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Ravens and Bills met earlier this season in Week 4, where Baltimore secured a 35-10 victory.
Zay Flowers (WR): The Pro Bowl wide receiver has been absent from practice due to a knee injury sustained on January 4. Head Coach John Harbaugh stated that Flowers has "a chance" to play against the Bills, despite not practicing this week. He is listed as Doubtful and unlikely to play.
Deonte Harty (WR): Listed as questionable with a knee injury, currently on IR.
Ray Davis (RB): Remains in concussion protocol after a hit in the last game. His status for Sunday is uncertain and he is listed as Questionable.
Alec Anderson (OT): Limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday due to a calf injury, FP Friday and will play.
Brandon Codrington (CB): Expected to play after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Quarterback Showdown: Both teams feature MVP-caliber quarterbacks. Lamar Jackson leads the Ravens with dynamic dual-threat capabilities, while Josh Allen spearheads the Bills' offense with his arm strength and mobility.
Rushing Attack: The Ravens' ground game, led by Derrick Henry and complemented by Jackson's mobility, poses a significant challenge. The Bills' defense will need to contain this duo to limit Baltimore's offensive effectiveness.
Defensive Edge: Baltimore's defense ranks higher in key metrics, including defensive DVOA, and boasts a formidable pass rush. The Bills' offensive line must protect Allen to exploit opportunities in the passing game.
