The New York Jets enter mandatory minicamp with encouraging news surrounding one of their biggest offensive stars. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson appears fully recovered from the knee injury that ended his 2025 season and has been one of the standout performers throughout OTAs, while rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq continues recovering from a minor hernia procedure. The Jets have also received positive reports from quarterback Geno Smith and running back Breece Hall, both of whom have participated fully in offseason activities as the team prepares for the 2026 season.
Garrett Wilson - Knee
Wilson enters the 2026 season fully healthy after dealing with multiple knee injuries, including a hyperextension and subsequent aggravation, that limited him to just seven games last year.
The star receiver was a full participant throughout OTAs and mandatory minicamp, taking all of his reps and continuing to build chemistry with quarterback Geno Smith. Importantly, there have been no limitations or setbacks during the offseason program.
Wilson is expected to be a full participant when training camp opens and is poised for a bounce-back season as the clear No. 1 receiver in the offense.
Kenyon Sadiq - Hernia
Sadiq is recovering from a sports hernia that he played through during his final college season and even during rookie minicamp. After rookie minicamp, the first-round pick underwent a minor procedure to address the issue, causing him to miss OTAs and mandatory minicamp.
Jets Team Outlook: Both Geno Smith and Breece Hall have been among the most impressive performers of the voluntary offseason program, and neither player is dealing with any injury concerns. Both enter the season fully healthy.
