In today’s matchup against the Jaguars, the Vikings starting RB Aaron Jones left the field during the 3rd quarter.

Jones was holding his ribs and went to the medical tent after suffering a hit.

By video, Jones is likely dealing with rib cartilage injury. Given this is a painful injury, to return today Jones would need a rib block injection to return to play.

In his absence, Cam Akers and Ty Chandler will fill the role.

After being carted to the locker room for a likely x-ray to rule out any fracture, Jones returned to the game late in the 4th quarter.

Stay tuned for more updates on Aaron Jones.
