Michael Carter Injury: Jets RB Leaves With Ankle Sprain

Jets second-year running back Michael Carter left early in the third quarter against the Bears with a left ankle injury.

Carter did not return to the game and could miss multiple weeks, according to the Pro Football Docs.

By video, the severity of his injury was not immediately clear but the worry is for a high ankle sprain.

Carter was in a pile when he was tackled, but his left foot appeared to be landed on potentially causing the high ankle injury.

He had 6 rushes for 21 yards, along with 2 catches for 15 yards before exiting.

In his absence, Zonovan Knight had 14 rushes for 69 yards, plus 3 catches for 34 yards.

The Jets head to Minnesota in Week 13 and will likely be without Carter for that contest.
